Church of the Annunciation

Last update 6 July 2023

Located close to the parish, it often hosts important exhibitions. The information, documented, dates back to 1620 but the notes are related to a reality already underway and expanding.

The little church was, in fact, the seat of the "Brotherhood of the disciplining" and then of the "Company of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary".

Inside, among the other masterpieces, it is possible to admire a marvelous "Annunciazione di Maria" (=Annunciation of Mary), work of Guglielmo Caccia called "Moncalvo".

Over the centuries, the church has been embellished with candlesticks in carved and lacquered wood, the statue of the Madonna del Carmine (=Our Lady of the Carmine), the baroque furniture of the sacristy, the balustrade of the choir in pine wood and finally a picture of "San Pietro penitente" (=St. Peter penitent) by Anacleto Laretto dating back to 1902.
